Westminster Group Plc Announces Corporate Membership of Rotary

Westminster is delighted to announce that the group has become Corporate Members of Rotary, one of the world’s largest and most successful global service and humanitarian organizations, with 1.4 million members in over 200 countries and a permanent seat in the General Assembly of the UN.

The Rotary Corporate Membership programme is designed to enhance collaboration between businesses and communities, enabling businesses and organizations to expand their Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, supporting their local communities and developing networks around the world. This initiative is also designed to foster the personal and professional growth of employees.

Four outstanding Head Office team members of Westminster, Gosia, Lorraine, Niall, and David, all representing Westminster, were inducted into the Rotary Club of Banbury at a formal induction ceremony, held on July 12, 2024.

Commenting on the development, Westminster’s CEO, Peter Fowler, said:

“I am both proud and honoured that Westminster are the first Corporate Member of this innovative programme in our area and we are excited about the numerous benefits it brings. These include enhanced networking opportunities, greater visibility for our ESG & CSR efforts, and the chance to contribute more effectively to the well-being of the communities in which we operate.

“We see this development as an extension to our activities within our own charity, the Westminster Group Foundation, and it will enable us to provide even greater support to those in need.

I am grateful to Charles Hughes, President of the Rotary Club of Banbury, and the entire Rotary team for creating this platform. We believe this partnership will help us and other local businesses to build stronger networks, enhance our community involvement, and support the personal growth of our employees.

We encourage other businesses to join us in this fantastic initiative. Together, we can make a significant impact and drive positive change in our community.”
