Westminster Group Plc announces that it has launched a new solution to help detect and prevent the theft of copper cables from National Railway Networks that is presently costing operators throughout the world hundreds of millions of pounds annually with service disruption and repair costs.
The damage caused to the railway network communications infrastructure is also posing potential safety issues to both staff and passengers.
The increased price of refined copper rising to a peak of £6,000 per tonne in February 2012 is a significant factor in the general rise of cable theft incidents.
