The Westminster Group are pleased to announce that we are now offering CPC training and have over 30 courses available to choose from.
All drivers must complete 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years in order to keep their Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). This certificate is necessary to be able to drive a lorry, bus, or coach, and drivers risk receiving a fine if their training isn’t up to date.
CPC training is highly regulated and must meet strict guidelines. Each ‘training’ day must last for at least 7 hours to count towards the mandatory 35-hour requirement to gain the CPC Driver Qualification Card. The majority of Westminster CPC training days are broken down into two 3.5-hour modules – enabling a wide range of subjects to be addressed, further enhancing the driver training. Westminster cover a wide range of subjects, including but not limited to; Driver Welfare, Customer Service and Disability Awareness, Loading and Unloading, and First Aid Awareness training.
Open courses are now available on specific dates across the rest of the year at both London Heathrow and our dedicated training venue in Banbury. All of our CPC courses can be flexible from Monday – Saturday to allow for operational commitments and where required, training can be delivered at a suitable place of work or at one of our regional sites covering the UK to reduce your costs.
In addition to our 1-day CPC course, Westminster also offer 2-day management refresher courses for HGV and PSV transport managers.
To enquire about our CPC courses, availability, or course dates, please email [email protected] or visit the dedicated training section on our website. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing requirements, training capacity is limited – please book early to secure a place and avoid disappointment.
