Westminster announces that in addition to the recent USD660k contract award by a Sub Saharan African Government for the supply of bespoke mobile surveillance systems and equipment to assist with urban policing and state security, Westminster has been awarded a further contract to provide the Control & Command facility for the systems.
The contract valued at approximately $220,000 USD is to provide a comprehensive Control & Command system capable of monitoring and controlling the mobile surveillance systems network. The new control room will be capable of monitoring a number of surveillance units simultaneously. The project will be undertaken in parallel with the manufacture of the mobile surveillance units and should be completed during 2009.
Commenting on the contract award Peter Fowler, Chief Executive of Westminster Group, said:
"I am delighted to announce this additional contract award which brings the total project value for this important National Government customer in the last few weeks to circa $880,000.
"This latest contract consists of specialised monitoring and control equipment together with secure communication systems which will become the control centre, not only for the systems ordered so far but also for numerous other units once the concept is proved successful.
"It is a further example of the confidence clients have in our ability to design and provide solutions to meet their needs and to be able to deploy those solutions internationally as required"
