Westminster Group was privileged to welcome a large contingent of visitors and VIPs to the Queen’s Award for Enterprise:International Trade & Open Day 2021, hosted on Friday, September 3rd, at the group’s 4.5 acre corporate headquarters site in Banbury, UK.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all visitors that attended on the day and for the many messages of congratulations we have received. We were especially honoured to host many Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Embassy staff & Government representatives from countries around the world, as well as customers, partners, and shareholders.
Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, Sir Tim Stevenson CVO OBE, presented Westminster with the royal Grant of Appointment scroll and a commemorative crystal bowl.
In addressing the audience Sir Tim said:
“The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is not an easy award to achieve, and Westminster’s performance has been extraordinarily impressive demonstrating impressive sales growth”
Following the award ceremony, visitors were able to experience live demonstrations of K9 detection and guard dog capabilities by HMP’s National Dog Technical Support Group, as well as live demonstrations of drone and anti-drone systems, radar, advanced CCTV surveillance and perimeter detection.
In addition, we had numerous technologies being demonstrated in various locations around the site including border protection solutions, anti-terrorist systems, narcotics and contraband detection, x-ray screening, counter surveillance and vehicle control. We also had an exciting new development in rapid Covid testing on display which could revolutionise testing programmes.
